RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

The birthplace of every product, where ideas take shape. Each project starts with an idea, which is to make the customer’s sketch effectively replicable, striking a balance between large-scale production and handcrafted quality. 

PROTOTYPING

Before going into mass production, each and every detail of the product undergoes a strict testing and fine-tuning process, which is crucial in order to ensure that all items meet the highest market standards. This critical step is carried out in a specialized, ever-growing department, which is run exclusively by qualified personnel, ensuring utmost confidentiality and privacy in each stage of the process.

SAMPLING

This stage takes place almost entirely in-house, with approximately 1,500 to 2,000 samples produced annually by a team of 25 professionals, which includes eight CAD operators. This production process follows a circular and integrated model that allows for a smooth transition between the various stages of development. There are specially equipped meeting rooms within the department in order to encourage creativity and make it easier for designers and product development staff to work together.

PRODUCTION

The production department is the heart of our production process and is well structured in order to make sure that products are properly handled and fully traceable for each purchase order. Automation has played a major role, both in the warehouse and in the production process as a whole, as it has enabled the company to increase production capacity over the years, as well as to streamline all internal activities.

QUALITY CONTROL

The production process is based on an ongoing flow of checks performed in-house on representative samples, as well as strict monitoring of each intermediate step. This process is complemented by the involvement of external inspectors who thoroughly check the finished products in order to ensure that each item meets the highest standards of excellence before being delivered to customers.

LOGISTICS

The last step in the production process is handled with the utmost accuracy in order to deliver the products, which are carefully packaged and dispatched from the factory, to their final destination in immaculate condition and on schedule.

A PRECISE AND INTEGRATED SYSTEM

The success enjoyed by Trend is the result of a combination of key factors that are seamlessly integrated and incorporated into each of its products, which become examples of production efficiency. 

RAW MATERIALS AND QUALITY CONTROL

Trend processes an extensive range of raw materials, including leather, various fabrics and nylon as well as metals, such as nickel, gold, matte brass and bronze. By using an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system, the company has a clear procedure in place to ensure that materials are managed effectively.

 

The process starts when finished product requests and purchase orders from the warehouse are received, which are optimized in order to minimize waste. Raw material surplus is estimated and allocated to production departments as needed, and all materials undergo strict checks both internally and externally. After being packed, the products are sent to the warehouse, which is managed in a completely automated way, and are then ready to be shipped to customers.

A CONSTANT FLOW OF DATA

In order to streamline production and speed up operations, Trend developed a network through which data and updates are shared with customers, company managers, and the quality control department. Customers are provided with surplus overviews, shipment and sales reports, and cost analyses, enabling them to get a comprehensive overview of business transactions

 

Updates on production, warehouse management and quality control of finished products are carefully monitored. Managers are provided with KPIs in order to monitor production and, when requested, updates on the final product are shared with the Quality Control department.

PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT

 

By implementing a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system, Trend is able to achieve strategic and competitive advantages that set it apart in the industry. With this system, the entire product lifecycle management is centralized from design to production, making it possible to improve efficiency, maximize resources and cut costs.

 

The various departments are also able to work together more easily and react more quickly to changes in the market. Changes required during the production process can also be accommodated, ensuring that products are always up-to-date and meet the highest industry standards. The system also provides valuable analysis and market feedback, which enables the company to meet all the needs of leading international customers in the luxury industry. 

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY DEPARTMENT

Through its Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Department, Trend applies a meticulous approach to ensure that ethical and sustainable practices are followed throughout the supply chain. Trend has an annual planning process, sets specific targets, and evaluates all its suppliers.

 

The company is continuously monitoring and improving all its processes, exceeding regulatory compliance requirements. One of its strengths is also the office in charge of conducting legal tests and performance tests on both raw materials and finished products. This department is what allows Trend to build a stronger reputation as a strategic and responsible partner.
